Parallel Session at the 8th Annual European GRC Summit: The Values of E-learning with Paula Davis

E-learning is a hot issue for several good reasons because if it is done right, it can produce great results by decreasing costs and improving performance. An annual one time classroom session may be necessary, but an e-learning course is available for all, at all times. If the e-learning process includes the static e-learning course as well as any ongoing conversations in networked communities the results can be astonishing.

At the 8th Annual European GRC Summit Paula Davis will inform you of the value of e-learning and understanding that e-learning's value helps you make the best decisions about when and why to use it.

Lifting the lid on Compliance E-learning
Key findings from our major study with e-learning benchmark organisation, Towards Maturity, revealing the hopes and realities of compliance training and how good practice can deliver on cultural and behavioural goals.

A major study commissioned by SAI Global* revealed that businesses are already making extensive use of e-learning for compliance training - 87% of companies carry out annual compliance training, with 77% of those using e-learning as a major component of their programme. With this high uptake comes high expectations of the benefits it should be delivering - but the survey revealed that respondents' expectations are rarely met with any degree of consistency.

Our presentation will explore this gap between expectation and achievement and dig deeper into current compliance e-learning practices, providing delegates with insights into what their peers are getting right - and getting wrong!

We also take a look at respondents' vision for the next generation of compliance e-learning and how evolving technologies can help deliver a learning experience which will effectively contribute towards creating and evidencing a compliance culture.
